If you get chance take a look at this cookery book which is on sale at Waterstones. It is written by the chef Heston Bleumental famed for his scientific and indeed obsessive approach to cooking. Dave Mckean who had an exhibition of his work at the Easton Rooms in Rye before Christmas has produced the illustrations for the book. Between the two of them this book is a complete creative gem. It's worth taking in Mckean's approach to mixed media and the way he combines this with drawing .... also there's a great use of space/layout.
